The 6” lifter cheek helps encourage the horse to stay light in the front end, lift through the shoulders and maintain better body position through turns. Its combination of lift and leverage provides a clearer signal when asking a horse to rate, collect or rebalance, while still allowing good lateral feel for guiding and shaping the horse.
The 5.25” two-piece twisted mouthpiece provides a more defined feel than a smooth mouthpiece, applying increased pressure across the tongue and bars for a quicker, clearer response. This makes the Doc particularly useful for horses that tend to get heavy in the bridle, lean on the bit or need a little more encouragement to stay responsive and elevated through the turn.
