The locked snaffle bit allows mild leverage and offers a little more control, promoting responsiveness and correct head carriage.
The Stainless Steel Chain mouthpiece offers a higher level of comfort in the horse's mouth as it helps to prevent pinching of the lips and bars of the mouth, whilst reducing the nutcracker action of a single jointed bit.
This is an ideal bit for horses that need a touch more braking power than a traditional snaffle but perhaps have sensitive mouths.

I have been having a little trouble finding a bit my filly likes after breaking her in, she's super soft but just leaning on my hands, gaping her mouth and walking through her stops. I just had a feeling it was more of an equipment issue than a training one. A friend suggested I try her little chain snaffle and the difference was immediate. I ordered the closest one I could find which was the Slick Lock Snaffle and my girl loves it. She is as soft as butter, little to no mouth gaping and her stops have improved 10 fold! I really like this bit!
